But, of course......
Listened to it last night along with a lot of Two Tons of Steel.
Beer was involved.....

I did the traditional Wednesday before Thanksgiving in Texas thing.

Got off a couple of hours early, so I had to stop at the beer joint and wish my freinds there a happy Thanksgiving. Came home and did some Thanksgiving food prep work, with Arlo,  and 2 Tons, and more beer.
Only coffee and kolaches so far, today.

The Lightning Tree
Down in the meadow where the wind blows free
In the middle of a field stands a lightning tree
Its limbs all torn from the day it was born
For the tree was born in a thunderstorm

Grow, grow, the lightning tree
It's never too late for you and me
Grow, grow, the lightning tree
Never give in too easily

Down in the meadow where the wind blows light
The lightning struck in the middle of the night
Limbs stripped bare by the lightning flare
The lightning flare was a wild affair

Grow, grow, the lightning tree
It's never too late for you and me
Grow, grow, the lightning tree
Never give in too easily

Down in the meadow where the wind blows cold
The lightning tree stands stiff and old
Branches bent where the lightning went
The lightning went from the firmament

Grow, grow, the lightning tree
Never give in too easily

Down in the meadow with the wind in the west
The lightning tree faced up to the test
Its heart went snap when it took the rap
The terrible rap of the thunderclap

Grow, grow, the lightning tree
It's never too late for you and me
Grow, grow, the lightning tree
Never give in too easily

Down in the meadow when the wind blows free
A whispering breeze in the lightning tree
Dreams come true when you want them to
If you want them to, then it's up to you

Grow, grow, the lightning tree
Never give in too easily
Grow, grow, the lightning tree
It's never too late for you and me
Grow, grow, the lightning tree
Never give in too easily

Grow, grow, the lightning tree
It's never too late for you and me
Grow, grow, the lightning tree
Never give in too easily

Lightning tree, lightning tree
Lightning tree

Most beautiful music ever written.

Character still matters.  It always matters.

I often wonder how much more masterful his compositions have become in the last 2 centuries, in Heaven.

No matter how many times I listen to Beethoven he continues to astound me.

Many have written Symphonies.

But only of Ludwig can it be said that he truly transcends mere genius.

Even the definition of Promethean falls short.

He's far more than a rebellion in creativity.

My alarm clock woke me up this morning to “schools out” by Alice Cooper.

Every kids favorite song when I was a pre teen.
It was our High School class song....
How God must weep at humans' folly! Stand fast! God knows what he is doing!
Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Here is a group from Dallas according to one of the writeups at youtube, I kind of like the sound, it's always fun to find singers you possibly haven't heard of. They do have some other songs too.

And here is a '60s girl group from, obviously, from the video,  England, Paper Dolls, another fun song.  Maybe a bit of Swinging London here.

"Sorry" for what?  wink777

I've also been enjoying listening to the so-called Esher Demos made by the Beatles, at George Harrison's then-home, while preparing to make The Beatles (a.k.a. the White Album) . . .

Time for some music with an international flare again...

Sorry...

Some Chinese music where women sing, it's at such a high pitch. This, coming out of Taiwann is quite different and a bit of a modern pop song (Latin beat?) from the 1950s.....I believe this woman must have been one of their big stars as I found other songs and movies with her....from Free China, a lot of their "traditional" is fantastic but what is at youtube is mostly 1 hour mixes of such type of music.:

Sorry...

Asbury Park Surf Music Festival, the Surfrajettes!

Sorry...

Los Straitjackets with 'Catalina' that sounds a bit like 'Moon River' and that other song, 'Perfidia'

Sorry...

They wear those Mexican-type wrestling masks when playing, are fairly well-known and have been on some of the late night shows.  The band has a lot of good takes on songs including the 'Peanuts' theme, 'Munsters' and so on.
