COBB, Calif. (AP) — A magnitude-4.2 earthquake has struck Northern California above San Francisco but there are no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake hit at 7:58 p.m. Wednesday and was centered about a mile (2 kilometers) from The Geysers.

Another story says 2 earthquakes hit in quick succession but hopefully there have been no injuries or major damage.
