Trump dismissed warnings from GOP leaders that party could lose house: report
By John Bowden - 04/28/18 12:52 PM EDT

President Trump has privately dismissed concerns from top Republican lawmakers over the GOP's performance headed into the 2018 midterms later this year, according to a New York Times report.

During a dinner with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and White House legislative director Marc Short, Trump listened to McConnell fret about the GOP's one-seat majority in the Senate while Short claimed that the GOP's House majority was threatened, according to the Times.

“That’s not going to happen,” Trump said multiple times during the meal, the Times reports, referring to the possibility of the GOP losing its lower chamber majority.

Some Trump supporters, including Eric Beach, a strategist at the pro-Trump America First PAC, told the Times that Trump is rightfully skeptical of election plans laid out by McConnell and retiring House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.).

The GOP probably wants to lose the House.  That way they aren't held accountable.

What Trump should've done on hearing McConnell fret about losing the House is curl up in a ball.

Just what too many want to see. And if the Republidunces keep saying they will lose Congress then they probably will for causing their voters to stay home.

Absolutely!  That is what the people voted for.  It could have never been more apparent by the sheer amount of people that attended the rallies and shouted protect our country from invaders.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.
