Those goobers are too ignorant to understand that for a company to pay them an actual living wage,that company has to sell something for a profit. They actually think that the answer to this is for the government to control prices as well as wages,and that it will all work out perfectly. The fact that this has NEVER worked anywhere it has been tried is meaningless to them because they think "it just wasn't done right,THIS time it will work!".
What happens in a communist system is that the "workers" do indeed have money left over after buying the essentials to survive after being paid every week. The reason is there is nothing for them to spend their money on beyond the essentials because it's not being made.
