Michael Cohen Will ‘Flip’ on Trump Under Threat of ‘Decades’ in Prison, Stormy Daniels’s Lawyer Says
By Greg Price On 4/17/18 at 9:32 AM

The president’s loyal, longtime personal attorney, Michael Cohen, will eventually turn on his most prized client as he potentially faces “decades” of prison time, according to the attorney representing adult film star Stormy Daniels.

Michael Avenatti, Daniels’s lawyer in the case against Cohen, made his prediction Monday night just hours after a federal judge appeared to indicate she would not allow President Donald Trump’s legal team to first vet documents and files seized by the FBI in a raid of Cohen’s office eight days ago.

Avenatti said he had little doubt that Cohen would eventually be charged.

“I think Michael Cohen is going to be indicted in the next 90 days,” Avenatti told MSNBC. “There’s little to no question in my mind that’s going to happen.”

I would be stunned if Cohen flipped on Trump because I fully expect him to be pardoned regardless of whatever Federal crime he may have committed.

The extra pressure on him is that Mueller referred this to a State Court (NY), if Cohen steps on his di*k here (highly probable), Trump can't pardon him, right?

Decades of prison time???   For what crime?  Paying off a bimbo?  If that were illegal, half of Congress would be behind bars.  Avenatti is DREAMIN.

It was referred to the US attorney of the southern district of NY which is federal.  If Cohen violated state law he couldn’t be pardoned by Trump but so far the investigations appear to be federal.

According to Avenatti’s Bio, he’s worked at a political opposition and media firm, The Research Group, run by Rahm Emanuel. Emanuel was later Barack Obama’s White House chief of staff. Avenatti took part in more than 150 campaigns in 42 states, including Joe Biden’s U.S. Senate campaign.

Thanks for taking the time to clarify @Concerned, as opposed to Frank just trying to wake me up with his evil Trumplaning.

If you don't even know what the eff is going on to the point that you need some simple minded explanation of what the hell is going on, what are you doing here? Maybe you should find a gardening forum that would be more your speed.

Another lawyer (can't recall his name right now), said today that all the boxes are checked and Cohen will cooperate as he won't go to prison for Trump since he (Cohen) has a family.  So, if there is anything there that could be charged to/against Trump, Cohen will give it.  Perhaps it is only Cohen in trouble; there was enough evidence to get a search warrant, so something is there.

I was watching TV when a reporter rushed out of court and announced the third client was Hannity.  I was shocked for a second, couldn't believe the name the judge wanted was Hannity.

I guess this would put the lie to the nonsense the NY Prosecutor isn't working with Mueller, as an employee would.  Kimba Wood, too.  The NY Prosecutor puts the screws to Cohen (who, for all I know, may deserve it), and Mueller gets to spring him in exchange for some Trump dirt.  Win-win.

Michael Avenatti works for the DNC as a dirty trickster.
NY Prosecutor, who took over for Bermans recusal, is an Obama hack.
Mueller is surrounded in his office with Clinton campaign staff.
Rosencreep is an Obama hack.

I can't find one damn honest player in this whole shitshow.

Just out of interest, how come a president has the power to pardon people? seems a bit dictatorship-ish to me.

Then you'd have to conclude the defense is in on it, too.  See below...

The 2020 re-election campaign contributors are paying Trump's legal tab.  Maybe they don't know or perhaps they're fine with it.

Of the $3.9 million Trump's committee spent in the first quarter of 2018, more than $834,000 went to eight law firms and the Trump Corp. for legal fees, according to new Federal Election Commission records filed Sunday.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/politics/ct-trump-legal-fees-20180415-story,amp.html

What's really funny is they're now paying that money to hire Joanna Hendon from the firm of Spears and Imes as counsel in the New York Southern District case, involving Cohen.  The founding partners David Spears and Linda Imes had previously worked with Comey in the NYSD and were among 180 other attorneys who signed a letter last May calling for the special counsel investigation into his firing on grounds of obstruction.

While we do not all necessarily agree with the manner in which he dealt with the conclusion of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, we sincerely believe that his abrupt and belated termination for this conduct, occurring months later and on the heels of his public testimony about his oversight of the investigation of Russian interference with the 2016 presidential election, has the appearance – if not the reality – of interfering with that investigation.

Read the full letter here.....

It's a check and balance on a legal system that isn't infallible.  Governors have the same power over state cases.

@Frank Cannon

No, it was an older lawyer who has been around a long time.  He lived in Colorado, don't know if he still does.  Was in a number of big cases.  He specifically said, "all the boxes are checked" comment.  I'll look him up.

"Gerald Leonard "Gerry" Spence (born January 8, 1929) is a semi-retired American trial lawyer. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Hall of Fame.  Spence has never lost a criminal case either as a prosecutor or a defense attorney. He has not lost a civil case since 1969."

Now wait a minute.  I believe in giving credit where credit is due.  I'm betting that there's some Soros $$$ floating around there too.
