By Alex Swoyer - The Washington Times - Thursday, April 12, 2018

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley said Thursday Democrats are delaying a bill to protect special counsel Robert Mueller in the event that President Trump moved to fire him.

Mr. Grassley said he had wanted to put the bill, introduced this week, on the agenda Thursday, which would set it up for a vote next week. But top committee Democrat Sen. Dianne Feinstein objected, which Mr. Grassley said will delay getting it done.

“This delay is uncalled for and unnecessary,” he said.

The bipartisan bill would give a fired special counsel a window of time to get to a court to challenge the firing.

Could this mean Grassley knows something about Mueller's future, and this move to protect him from the Executive is to protect the Executive itself and not Mueller?

This raid on Cohen's office - attorney/client priv. - should be more than enough reason to can Mueller.

But that would play right into the Swamp's claws and this Hands Off move gives the Exec all the excuse it needs to let Mueller hang himself.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

Either Trump firing Mueller is the democrats' dream scenario or the GOP is cooking something up.

I think the former, as the GOP shows no interest in having Trump as POTUS.

No, it means as the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Grassley has a problem with the president firing the special counsel and doesn't want to be put in the troublesome position of voting 'Yea' for removal, after Trump is impeached.
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

Reasonable.

I don't understand the opener of that article.  Trump isn't going to keep evidence around like Dahmer storing heads in the freezer.  Cohen seems to have one job:  Putting out fires for Trump.  So, I'm not sure how many, if any, other clients would have their records seized.  If anyone is going to have records to enforce agreements, it'd be Cohen.
