President Donald Trump said Thursday that a possible military strike against Syria "could be very soon or not so soon at all".

"Never said when an attack on Syria would take place," Trump wrote on Twitter.

Now, it seems anti-climactic, like bombs will not fall. Watch me jinx it and it happens today.

We potentially, could be in a discussion phase. During the Obama administration, there was discussion of Assad stepping down in exchange for something, maybe a new government that would still be friendly to the Assad interests. I forget, but it did not go through.

Two important decisions are still being worked on behind the scenes:  1.  Just yesterday Mattis said no one's sure the chemical attack was Assad's doing,  I think this needs to be figured out before dropping bombs and  2) two members of tje coalition (Great Britain and Saudi Arabia) are still deciding just what assistance they'll provide.

On behalf of the rational world I apologize for the delay.  But am relieved you at least find the time entertaining.

Right. But, perhaps this particular billionaire president is just not as wise as you are. Maybe his personality is different than yours and he marches to the beat of a different drummer, the beat that made him a successful builder, entrepreneur, author, TV star and now president.
