It would certainly be a step in the right direction and perhaps a little too late, but I highly doubt Trump will dump him or Sessions.  Just not going to happen.

President Donald Trump is considering firing Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, CNN reported late Tuesday, a day after special counsel Robert Mueller's investigators raided the office of Trump's personal lawyer. Firing Rosenstein could potentially lead to Mueller's probe being reined in, or even lead to Mueller's firing. In a separate report Tuesday, the New York Times reported Trump wanted to fire Mueller in December for crossing a "red line" in his investigation, and on Tuesday White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said Trump believes he has the authority to fire Mueller. CNN said firing Rosenstein is just one option Trump in considering, including firing Attorney General Jeff Sessions........
