Lance Hindt was first called out at a board meeting last month.A Texas school superintendent who was accused last month of being a middle school bully reportedly assaulted a man and left him in a coma. Lance Hindt, the current superintendent of Katy ISD, beat up a man in 1983 after an alleged road rage incident. William Stein told FOX 26 that he confronted Hindt after he was driving his car too fast down an alley where kids in the neighborhood played. That's when the superintendent reportedly assaulted him.Stein said he was left with a dislocated shoulder, three broken ribs, and a fractured skull. The injuries left Stein in a coma for five full days. He also required two brain surgeries. “They told my wife there’s a 90 percent chance I wouldn’t come out of that coma,†Stein said. He told reporters that he had been waiting "decades" for someone to call him about the incident.
Circuit Judge David Carpenter of Alabama's 10th district recalled attending Taylor High School with Hindt in 1982."He was physically threatening some of my teammates, just menacing them, standing over them and eventually started throwing weight plates at them, 25-pound weight plates at them," Carpenter told Fox 26. "He liked to brag about beating up other people and at one point he even bragged about beating up a police officer."
It is true. Things are bigger in Texas......even the azzholes.....Judge claims Katy ISD superintendent was a 'vicious bully' in school
KATY, Texas (FOX 26) - When it comes to bullying, the embattled leader of the state's 9th largest school district certainly talks a very good game...."Lance, you were the one who shoved my head in the urinal," said Greg Gay, a junior high classmate who also goes by the name Greg Barrett. It was an allegation Hindt flatly denied, adding,"Bullying is wrong. It was then and it is today."But others, who knew the teenage Lance Hindt, are telling a much different story."He was a vicious bully. He was a thug. He was a wealthy thug, but he was a thug," said Judge David Carpenter who presides over a criminal court in the state of Alabama.Back in 1982 he attended Taylor High School with Lance Hindt and says he avoided being his victim, but bore witness to the football star's predatory behavior...http://www.fox26houston.com/news/judge-says-katy-superintendent-was-once-a-vicious-bully...Former Katy ISD student Nitant Patel, 19, has since started a Change.org petition calling for Hindt's firing. The petition, which also references a now-dismissed 1983 lawsuit claiming an 18-year-old Hindt severely beat another man, has collected more than 3,100 signatures as of Monday morning.A competing petition with the title "We, the community within Katy ISD, support our Superintendent Dr. Lance Hindt" has also been started on Change.org.https://www.chron.com/neighborhood/katy/article/Current-judge-claims-Katy-ISD-superintendent-was-12799102.php
