State Department efforts to undermine White House agenda sparked firing

The abrupt firing Tuesday of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson follows months of infighting between the State Department and White House over efforts by Tillerson to save the Iran nuclear deal and ignore President Donald Trump's demands that the agreement be fixed or completely scrapped by the United States, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon.

In the weeks leading up to Tillerson's departure, he had been spearheading efforts to convince European allies to agree to a range of fixes to the nuclear deal that would address Iran's ongoing ballistic missile program and continued nuclear research.

The deal is not fixable. Iran has already said they would not accept any changes to it.

In a statement to state-run media, Tehran said it "will not accept any change in the deal, neither now or in [the] future." Iran's foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, tweeted a day earlier that the U.S. "must bring itself into full compliance" with the nuclear agreement.

Russian Foreign minister Lavrov also said his country wouldn't back any proposed changes.

The deal is not fixable. Iran has already said they would not accept any changes to it.

If this is the case then I fully support President Trump. The problem with the second part of your post is that those berating him were merely using his past practices. When somebody acts a certain way long enough, they’ve created an environment where everybody just expects it of them. Furthermore, Trump is the guy who hired Tillerson to begin with. Has Iran even signed the deal? If not then it certainly is fixable, if ignoring it 'fixes' it.
