U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, has enough support to pass his “Fix NICS” gun control bill without the possibility of a filibuster, his office said Friday morning.

It’s not yet clear when the bill might get a vote, but a staff member said there are now 62 sponsors of the bill — a significant milestone. The bill would hold government agencies accountable for failing to properly document individuals’ criminal histories in the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System....

It does say that Cruz is not among the co-sponsors.

Yeah.  Good luck with holding Big Government accountable for ANYTHING.  I'm still waiting for someone to hold Obama accountable for the Promise Program, which enabled Cruz to get away with his threatening behavior leading up to a mass shooting.  Not.... holding.... my..... breath, though.

All it will take is another DemRat administration in the WH for it to go back to Massacre Enabling Mode.  It suits their agenda too much to abandon it.

When have government agencies ever been held accountable for anything?

They pass laws holding themselves accountable, yet conveniently leave out how the accountability will be assessed and then punished. Just more posturing, and a future excuse for more gun control when this measure fails.
