CNN: Trump 'berated' Hicks after House Intel testimony
By Brandon Carter - 02/28/18 08:40 PM EST

President Trump reportedly berated former White House communications director Hope Hicks the day before her resignation, according to a new report.

CNN’s Erin Burnett reported Wednesday that Trump was angry with Hicks following her closed-door testimony to the House Intelligence Committee, in which she reportedly revealed she was sometimes required to tell “white lies” as part of her work in the White House.

I guess the times he compared her experience level to a coffee cup and called her the best POA Lewindowski would ever have weren't bad enough.

Revealed: How Hope Hicks was 'trapped' into admitting she told 'white lies' for Trump - after conferring for 10 minutes with her lawyer

If you fall into a trap after 10 minutes of conferring with counsel, you probably didn’t have a very good lawyer.

One very vague question which is designed to trip her up.

Flynn was tripped up by one question.

There was no legal jeopardy for her, nor was she required to be there.  Flynn’s situation is under scrutiny from the judge.

Burnett reported one of Trump’s “close allies” told CNN that Trump asked Hicks after her testimony “how she could be so stupid.”

It would have been more news to me had Trump NOT berated Hicks.  The entire mantra of this Administration seems to be deny, deny, deny; never admit fault; never admit to the whatever lies/falsehoods/misleading statements you're caught in.  Hicks apparently violated this apparent central premise.
I adore facts and data and abhor lies and liars.

@TomSea

Okay, she conferred with her lawyer for ten minutes before she answered the question of has Trump asked you to lie.  She said she has told white lies but not regarding the Russia matter.  Then, Trump asked her how she could be so stupid.

I think she immediately resigned because her lawyer told her to, because admitting she has lied opens her up to more questions being asked of her from Mueller.  She quit because she is going to tell Mueller the truth and her lawyer does not want her to be in the White House close to Trump when she does this.  She knows where the bodies are buried as she was closer to Trump than any other person in the White House.  She refused to answer questions about the transition and her time in the White House.  She will have to answer questions about that if Mueller calls her back.  Repeating my opinion, her lawyer wants her out of the White House with no link to Trump as this unfolds.

It’s really not surprising because everything about the man – his net worth claims, conservatism, spray tan, respect for women, etc - is all a façade.

Someone very close to me, and by that I mean I've seen him in the hall, well, I've not actually seen him in the hall but someone told me that she had seen him in the hall ...

Anyway, that person is very reliable and he told me you might have something there.

Traficant didn't have a wig. He had a pet ferret who gladly rode around on Jim's head all day.

Anytime you are testifying before Congress (or a Congressional committee) you are at jeopardy.  Jeopardy from a misspoken word or phrase and jeapardy at being used as a pawn by some corrupt politician.  Its insane to think otherwise.
