All Music Is Welcomed...
https://www.onthisday.com/music/birthdays/march/30http://www.thisdayinmusic.com/search_resultSonny Boy Williamson, Eric Clapton, I'll let
@EasyAce do some of these honors, assuming he's around and everyone else is welcomed too. Pookie18 as well, is very welcomed.
Some other birthdays today...
Frankie Laine, crooner category for me, singer of the famous "Rawhide" Theme...
"Moonlight Gambler":
Celine Dion, big name artist born on this day, "That's the way it is":
"The Power Of Love":
Ted Heath from Great Britain, a big-band leader, here doing "String Of Pearls":
Graeme Edge, the late drummer for the Moody Blues...here is the Graeme Edge band performing "Paradise Ballroom":
Birthdays also for these recently covered bands, Ken Forrsi of Love, Jay Traynor of Jay and the Americans, so he is "Jay"? I guess we can get a video up...solo effort, "Up and Over":
Jim Dandy Mangum, singer of Black Oak Arkansas, born in Michigan, I never would have known, I've put on a few of their songs before, not too bad really. "When electricity came to Arkansas":
Could be that Mangum came from a family that migrated to Detroit when a lot of the auto-factory jobs were there.... Of course, there cover of "Jim Dandy To The Rescue" would be there most popular song...
Randy Van Warmer, "Just When I Need You Most":
For awhile, mainly in the '90s, there seemed to be the adult soft rock stations, I don't see those around too much anymore, they would play songs like that one by Randy Van Warmer, some might say a bit on the cheesy side, songs by Bread, Dan Hill, etc. .
MC Hammer, "Too Legit To Quit":
Norah Jones, "Come Away With Me":
I have a favorite Clapton song, so we will see what happens later.... more later....
