Trump to Republican senator: 'You're afraid of the NRA'

President Donald Trump asked Sen. Pat Toomey, a Pennsylvania Republican who's worked on a bill to strengthen background checks for gun purchases, whether he left out a proposal to raise the gun purchasing age to 21 out of his measure because he is "afraid of the NRA."

"Because you're afraid of the NRA, right?" Trump said at a White House meeting Wednesday, when Toomey told him his bill with West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin does not address lifting the age of purchasing long guns.

The clip I saw Trump said "don't be afraid of the NRA, They are on our side.  Half you guys are so afraid of the NRA.  There is nothing to be afraid of."  The clip starts with Trump so you don't hear the context.  He never said Toomey was afraid of the NRA as the headline states.

The clip you saw also contains a stupid notion on Trump's part:  Trump assumes that the NRA will back his own gun control proposals.  (Okay, maybe they will do so.  But if they do, I am quitting them.)

Yeah.  I just saw the actual Toomey is afraid of the NRA quote at 22:22 of the video I posted.  That will teach me to defend Trump.

If Donny does more than pay lip service to this gun grabbing bullshit, he will lose and lose big in his next election. NRA voters do not forget and once you are on the gun grabbers list you do not get off.

I think he farted at around the 1:05 mark.  At first, I thought maybe it was the chair making noise, but Feinstein's reaction says otherwise.
