Dems energized on gun reform after huddling with student survivors

House Democrats said Tuesday that they’re charging ahead with their gun reform push after huddling in the Capitol with a handful of students who survived this month’s shooting rampage at a Florida high school.

“They’re here for change, they’re here to make a difference, and just inspiring people with a message to everyone — not Democrat or Republican,” Rep. Joseph Crowley (N.Y.), the chairman of the Democratic Caucus, said after leaving a meeting with the students. “They want see change in the gun laws in this country.”

Crowley said the students are pushing for several specific reforms, including an expansion of background checks to accompany almost every gun purchase and a ban on assault weapons “amongst other things.”

That last part is why nobody wants to further their agenda.  Anyone with sense knows they aren't looking for 'sensible' laws and restrictions.

LOL. Sure thing. A bunch of tuned out high school kids are pushing for all sorts of expanded gun laws.....but have no opinion on police dereliction and mental illness. Very convenient.

Amazing how a group of kids are suddenly pushing for everything the Libs want to do to weaken the 2nd Amendment and take guns away from law abiding citizens.

The rats are deluded. They have no voice so they are energized by kids who don't vote.  All the rats have is Trump hatred and their lap dog news media few voters watch.  They don't have a rat congress or a rat President to push gun control.  They have no spokesman except David Hogg.  This will go nowhere, and be abandoned after the rats have fleeced big dollar donations from their minions.

The democrats found another losing issue. Last time it was ACA, now its gun confiscation. And just in time for the midterms.

They seem to be losing their minds. Thank God for it.
