Riddle of the ancient skulls found in watery grave

Wednesday February 14th 2018

An underwater burial site containing 8000-year-old battered skulls with some impaled on stakes has left archaeologists baffled. The watery grave located in east-central Sweden had 11 adults, seven of which showed signs of “blunt-force trauma” to their skulls although researchers said this did not kill them immediately as there were “signs of healing”.
