With all of this, I think it is important to remember that Trump knew he was being spied on. He said so, and was ridiculed mercilessly for it.


Trump said that he and his staff were wiretapped. And now we know, he was 100% right.


Since he knew, it is fun to think of how much disinformation he fed to Obama/Hillary just for fun. That does sound exactly like something he would do. He did it to the media throughout his whole campaign. I have no doubt he did the same thing to Obama and his "bugs" in Trump Tower.

@240B I bet some of the lower level FBI agents got work to Trump.  It also explains why he had his personal security team instead of the Secret service

In fact, the day Trump learned of the surveillance at Trump tower he closed up shop and moved his entire operations to Mar-a-Lago.

The premise of the Mueller investigation is Russia, Russia, Russia. Mueller should resign, displaying anger with those who committed crimes with this fraud.

I believe it was someone working for the Trump campaign tasked with doing a review of security.

Well we knew that they wiretapped Trump tower... but I believe he said HE was wiretapped. This memo says it was Carter Page who was under surveillance no?

A little bit of a flashback to show how bogus this all was.  Remember how Harry Reid made the false claim during 2012 that Romney paid no taxes for 10 years?  Turned out to be a lie and he was proud of it.  On his way out the door he set a similar fire in October 2016, with a letter to Comey.  Part of it read:

In my communications with you and other top officials in the national security community, it has become clear that you possess explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisors, and the Russian government — a foreign interest openly hostile to the United States, which Trump praises at every opportunity. The public has a right to know this information. I wrote to you months ago calling for this information to be released to the public. There is no danger to American interests from releasing it. And yet, you continue to resist calls to inform the public of this critical information.

Wasn’t the first time someone in Trump Tower was under FBI scrutiny, either.  Obviously, prior to any presidential announcement, since it was 2013.

The reporters who were wiretapped and surveilled by Obama also said they knew. Their computers would turn on by themselves late at night, and they heard interference on their phone.


Apparently Obama's 'spy team' are not very good at it. Someone could have told Trump, but my guess is he already knew. Any billionaire, all of them, are going to have top-notch security, including cyber security and the ability to find surveillance devices.


Kellyanne said something about this. She got it wrong with saying the microwave was bugged, but what she was trying to say I think, is that they detected microwave communications transmissions coming from their offices. Which would indicate surveillance devices are present.


I'm sure Trump had his office in Mar-a-Lago disassembled to make sure Obama's spy team had not gotten there before him. And he was likely using a secure phone service which even the NSA cannot tap.

When he said he, it was in the general sense – as in his campaign was tapped.

Many also took issue with the fact he used the word “wire tap” and ridiculed him for that as well.

Most of us understood what he meant. His team was being surveilled, as we are now learning was true.
