Graham: Mueller should probe report Trump wanted to fire him

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Sunday said special counsel Robert Mueller should take a look at reports that President Trump tried to fire him last summer.

"I don't know if the story is true or not, but I know this, Mueller should look at it," Graham said on ABC's "This Week."

Graham's comments follow a New York Times report this week saying Trump wanted to fire Mueller last June.

Trump reportedly backed off of the order when White House counsel Don McGahn threatened to quit.

The initial scope of the investigation concerned collusion with Russia officials.  They've found none.  Instead, they're investigating financial and process crimes of ancillary players.  Those indictments and pleas are in place.  There would be zero obstruction if Trump exercised his executive authority and fired Mueller.

You know or should know... that the leftist media would spin it into obstruction of justice in a heartbeat.  They are hoping, moist-dreaming and even expecting for Trump to fire Mueller.  In this political environment, it's the perception that counts... not the reality.

When Don McGahn reportedly threatened to quit over firing Mueller, I suspect he probably agreed with Graham's assessment below:

So now Linda is advocating investigating the President for conversations?

Well, I suppose Linda has to toe the media line... heaven only knows what would come tumbling out of his closet if he crosses them.

Mueller's final report is out and you read it?  I thought Mueller wanted to talk to Trump; I guess not since you know Mueller found nothing.

It wasn't his criticism of Miller that did him in ... it was his standing shoulder to shoulder with Durbin supporting a bill that eliminated everything the President asked for.

He crossed the line further, according to reports, by impugning the role of White House adviser Stephen Miller, calling him an “outlier” on immigration to reporters.

“It is almost appalling to me that you have a senator that isn’t stepping up, doing the right thing,” White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said on Fox News following Graham’s remarks. “Look, we want to make a deal on DACA. We want to do these things. And the fact that he’s not part of the conversation to help move that ball forward and is instead attacking individual members of the president’s staff, I think, shows… they’re going to blame people for their own failures. And I think it’s time that they stop playing political games, come to the table, get serious and do their jobs.”

...hmm... in just reading the headline how do you investigate a report of something that someone wanted to do? As much as Limpy has been so negative about our President, I can't help but wonder what his involvement has been to try to bring him down?  Anymore Limpy annoys the heck out of me.
