I suspect if a federal prosecutor attempts to go after someone on something a State made legal, especially something not Constitutionally mandated to the federal level, you may end up having a major SCOTUS case arise and it could backfire.

Re-read this and find the contradiction.  I promise it’s not difficult.

I was being sarcastic in also using the "I know people who"  Next time I'll explain it so you can understand.

OK if "government" sanctions it... controls it.

Better to totally decriminalize pot. Let anyone grow it, sell it, barter it. Like the tomatoes I grow in my garden... usually I give many/most away. There is no reason for pot to cost $500.00 an ounce.

Personally, I quit token it over a decade ago. But it is a personal choice, with little social harm.

Totally agree.  It is far less harmful and addictive than many legal substances.  Hawaii has a policy where people can grow marijuana for their own health needs but not sell it.  In fact, there was a small pot garden behind a house we rented when we first moved here.

I know someone with cerebral palsy who's life has been changed so much for the better now that she has medical marijuana clearance.  She can't afford the full meds she's allowed, but she does the oil when it gets bad, and it relieves the spasming and pain.

She used to smoke pot to get the relief, but hated it.  The CBD oil with less THC is milder and she likes it a lot better.

The evidence showing lower opioid use with THC availability seems to indicate it would be in the public's interest to decriminalize, or legalize.

States Rights vs Federal control.

Interesting Court Case. Funny Conservatives would favor centralized control rather than locals deciding for themselves.

I don't drink, smoke or do any drugs other than 1 cup of coffee a day.

I do have a cousins who broke his neck years ago and a co worker with Crohn's disease, both use marijuana to deal with the chronic pain and prefer it to pharmaceutical drugs as a pain killer.

I'm all for this.

It was the previous administration that encouraged such policies.

Time to reverse 'em.

Thanks Jeff Sessions, and that is not sarcasm. I once worked with a fellow that I happened to barge in on while he was smoking a joint at work (next to an air vent). I bit my lip and said nothing, but when he T-boned a building support pole not 30 feet from me with a Hyster forklift a little while later I began to see the error of my ways.

Nope, they (dopers) are not safe and they cause on job accidents and innocent people are put in danger because of their selfishness. The support beam didn't fall, but it was knocked 6 inches off center by this jerk. He was sent to take his drug test (mandatory after an accident) but two weeks later fired.

You had a great time laughing at my post, but when others and then I pointed out to you that I was illustrating absurdity by being absurd, you get all surly and resort to personal insults.

You are also a treasure on this forum ... full of warmth and friendliness.

I'm going to tell you all a secret about Frank.  He has one nagging fear in the back of his mind. He is afraid that somewhere out there, there is one person here at TBR that he is not going to be able to offend!

So far, best as I can tell, his fear is unwarranted.

Yep.  I like Frank but if you tell him Seinfeld is overrated and unfunny, you will unleash a monster the likes of which I never want to see again.
