From the Washington Beacon.....

Police have not given further details, but police scanner reports say it was a bedroom fire and has been extinguished

Well, you know how hazardous those lithium batteries can be.

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
A team of firefighters reportedly responded Wednesday afternoon to a fire at former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's house in Chappaqua, New York.

The news was first shared by The Journal News, a newspaper based in nearby White Plains, New York:

Initial reports indicated the fire started in a bedroom, and it has since been extinguished.

Back in the old days, bedroom fires were sometimes caused by a drunk passing out and dropping a lit cigarette. But Hillary doesn't smoke, does she?   :pondering:
Let it burn.

Changes to the tax code may literally hit him in the shorts.  From the days of dial-up....

If the recent past is any guide, Bill Clinton and his wife, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, have been spending the past few months gathering up unwanted belongings -- from old shoes to shower curtains to jogging shorts to, yes, apparently used underwear -- carefully enumerating each item alongside dollar amounts on handwritten lists, and giving the lot to such worthy causes as the Salvation Army and Goodwill Industries.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess it was mostly financial papers and personal correspondence with Huma and others that were destroyed in this tragic surprise fire.
