Excuse you - when you post essays that opine that those who do not genuflect Trump have some kind of mental disease and disorder needing to be treated by government professionals, you have crossed over yourself into the grotesque and the tyrant.

The only 'spirited debate' I imagine you folks engaging in is the arguments over whether Trump will win by landslide double digits in 2020 and eclipse Reagan as the greatest "Conservative President" in American history, bar none.

Enjoy your groupthink, there are myriad and many sites that cater to the singular purpose and promotion of your president.

We are glad this is not one of those sites.

"Cockroaches" as we are, notwithstanding.

Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

It’s the other way around.  Every time the Trump-fetish brigade gets going, the numbers drop off.  Page view statistics don’t lie.

Once upon time, we used to be among the Top 50 Conservative websites.

Numbers don't lie.

LOL  I'm sure they were super duper important.  Just like now!

Well, there was the never ending string of scandals from Obastard's White Hut.  It's why we have a whole Category dedicated to "Scandals."  There was the CF known as "The Iran Deal" that put so many soldier's lives in danger by sending planeloads of gold on pallets to Tehran.    State Department was a never-ending river of crap...corruption when Hillary ran it and incompetence when Kerry ran it (he was to stupid to be really corrupt, like your average Clinton).

Other than that, as Bite-me says, the Obastard Administration was completely scandal-free.

Not even the Top 100.    (unless I'm blind)   ^-^

Since traffic is up to over 36 million page views this year, which is a 20% increase from last year, it isn’t mere traffic volume that gets a site on that list.

A lot more content, a lot more viewers.  Always has been.

But if you’d rather be there, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Otherwise, stop sabotaging this forum.

'Use To Be' there was only 50 Conservative web sites out there on the Net, it's an apples and orange thing.  I watch the figures here too (quite easy by the way), we are consistently growing, for a non election year~no Ads, Brief Briefathons once a year, if that.  I frequent most of the other sites and on both extremes from Trumpbart to Susan Wright and this is amongst the best group I've located for many, many reasons.

Interesting @aligncare   I think it's also difficult for new members to "jump in" for a few newer reasons, as well. Some threads turn into personal vendettas and defenses usually dominated by one bruised ego that would be better suited for Members Only or Members Lounge areas of the forum. Many others are taken off topic with a competition among a prolific few trying to prove who's the funniest, and who can post the most insulting, outrageous photo.  It's often difficult to remember what the forum is all about and I imagine many newbies just lose interest.

But, those folks around here do seem to enjoy themselves.

IMHO, it's a shame.  This forum is very user-friendly and should be growing by leaps and bounds with new members posting up a storm.

Agreed...I was just observing that the number of NeverTrumpers amongst republican voters is actually pretty small, yet here they are over represented. Not exactly something that should dissuade a seasoned member from joining in the fray. But it might seem a little disorienting to people just signing up at a GOP site.

I don't really know how page view statistics work ... but I think there's a difference between viewing and participating.  I've noticed the participation isn't growing .... and this being such a user-friendly forum, it should be.

I think new blood here would reenergize all of us and keep our debate and research skills sharpened --- helping the forum grow exponentially (if that's a goal).

Maybe if new members weren't called cockroaches we would get some new members who are not afraid to post.

I am not in this for the rankings...although it would help when I sell TBR.

When the big wave of people came over from FR after getting the zot, they spent some time chatting about it in the Refugee thread, where I busied myself greeting them.  After a short while, I saw quite a few come back through the thread disgusted at the treatment they received from some here.  "This place is exactly like TOS!" was a common complaint.  These weren't "Never Trump" people, I always thought of them as "Trump Agnostics."  They didn't have a firm belief one way or another about Donald Trump, and their insecurity with him got them tossed out of TOS despite many having >15 years at the place.  They were not happy here because the same type of people chased them off.

So, if you are crowing about TBR no longer being in the top rankings of some website, go ahead and congratulate yourselves.  You earned that.

I've seen this quote a couple of times on this thread @mystery-ak  No doubt it may have wounded those who read it ... but it doesn't really explain the trend.

I only posted my suggestions if growing the forum is a goal.  It may not be, which is your call and perfectly fine.  I just hope you're not offended by the suggestions because no offense was meant.

Why would I do that?  I need them to monetize the place, you know, like with ads for Trumpy Bear.

LOL!   So, in your head...it's the Trump Supporters here on a 'Conservative' forum with Ronald Reagan on our masthead...that are "sabotaging this forum"??

Stop Bogarting the bong, @Oceander

PS: Furthermore, all I did was respond to YOUR post where you tried to start shit [again] implying that whenever Trump supporters get on a thread, the page views go down.

Carry on, barrister.
