Sen. Warner Cautions Trump Against Meddling In Mueller Probe

WASHINGTON (AP) — The top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee warned President Donald Trump against firing special counsel Robert Mueller or pardoning any targets of the federal probe into Russia and the president's Republican campaign.

In a speech from the Senate floor, Virginia Sen. Mark Warner said Wednesday that growing criticism of Mueller's probe pointed to an effort to lay the groundwork for Mueller's removal or other interference in the federal investigation. Warner said any attempt to remove Mueller would provoke a "constitutional crisis."

Trump complains about Robert Mueller just like he complains about everyone but himself.  He's not going to fire Mueller, just make tweets to cause trouble for Mueller trying to undermine his work.  Unless Trump is doing the investigation himself, it's "rigged".

Actually not. Mueller can be canned just like everyone else. He can also go to jail too.

"Constitutional crisis" is a way overused word these days. The technical definition is when a government reaches a point in which there is no constitutional remedy to the problem at hand. Things like Watergate weren't constitutional crises, because there was a remedy: impeachment. There have been actual "constitutional crises" in US history, but for lesser known things like the 1876 election.

Additionally, the people that overuse it have no problem stepping on the first and second amendments.
