Trump blames predecessors for national security failures
by Gabby Morrongiello | Dec 18, 2017, 2:34 PM

President Trump blamed his predecessors on Monday for surrendering U.S. sovereignty "to foreign bureaucrats" and failing to keep the American people safe, announcing in a major speech that his administration will instead pursue a national security strategy that is "rooted in realism."

"To seize the opportunities of the future, we must first understand the failures of the past," Trump began, speaking to supports at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington. "Our leaders forgot whose voices they were supposed to respect and whose interests they were supposed to defend."

Ties right into the Obama-Hillary-Hezbollah-Iran topic, doesn't it? (3 part article)

I wonder how that timing worked out? Coincidence?

Trump releases 'America First' national security strategy

By Jordan Fabian - 12/18/17 01:35 PM EST

President Trump has released his first national security strategy, a document that envisions confrontations with "revisionist" powers like Russia and China that are working against U.S. interests.

The White House published the 55-page strategy on Monday before the president was slated to tout it during a speech in Washington.

The document casts the U.S. in a struggle for international influence with China and Russia, both countries it says are seeking to challenge America’s role as the world’s pre-eminent superpower.

He's making a speech about it this morning.  Fox is showing it.  Probably over by now.
