But his daughter knows better. Every time the Senator's name is mentioned to her, she breaks out crying. She knows time is short. Even so, he refuses to face reality. She knows, as we all do.

I think McCain knows what's happening. He's trying to be upbeat.    For who, I don't know.  His family and friends, maybe?

Back when I Used to listen to talk radio, I'd stare at the damn thing Amazed at the drivel spewing out of her.

With her Dad gone, her own celebrity worth also diminishes considerably.

I don't believe for a minute that he's being arrogant towards this disease; however, being optimistic is helpful in combating any disease whether terminal or not. With a second tumor developed,that means that the chemo/radiation didn't work and I don't think he'll be back to the Senate and he may not even make it till Christmas.  A very sad time indeed for his family; sad that he chose to hunker down in the Senate instead of spending his last days with his family.

LOL. That was easily the worst radio show ever. At job sites my guys used to fight each other running to change the channel when 6PM hit and her fat ass came on.

He could name anybody he wants, as long as he/she/it is a registered Republican (because McCainiac is, supposedly).  Doug Ducey is a die-hard Trump supporter, so whoever he names it will be another Trump supporter.

Depends on how you see it.  If he assumes room temperature before 12AM, January 1, then there wtill be a Republican Trump-lover replacement but only until January 2019, when the replacement from the November 2018 Election is sworn in.  If he hangs on until 2018, then the replacement will be in 2020.  Either will be a seat-warmer until 2022, which is the next cycle for that seat.

Left quite a mess to be cleaned up because he had to cling to his sinecure. I hope his balloon chested daughter can get a good ride out of this.
