Top conservative activist calls for Congress to investigate Trump sexual misconduct allegations
By Brandon Carter - 12/15/17 11:04 AM EST

A top conservative leader is calling on Congress to investigate President Trump for sexual misconduct.

Bob Vander Plaats, the president and CEO of conservative group The Family Leader, said the multiple women who accused Trump of sexual misconduct “need to be heard.”

"A lot of these ladies came forth in the election, and for whatever reason, the American people said 'we're going to give the presidency to Donald Trump,’” Vander Plaats said in an interview on Iowa Public Radio. “That doesn't mean their issue went away because he became president."

Forgive me, but I've never heard of the guy or his organization.

You're not the only one. His Wiki page reads like a man desperate for attention and an overall failure and liar.

Of course a guy who has trouble with the truth would be a fan of Lyin' Ted.

Accusing men of sexual misconduct has been a very productive tactic for the left. No way
they are going to shut the hell up. In fact I fully expect the left to crank up the volume.

I never did either, but really...what is there to be investigated? As far as I can tell, there is no crime or allegation of a crime.  And like most of the other allegations against the famous and near-famous, there doesn't seem to be any proof or witnesses either.

We've had investigations and impeachment proceedings on far more serious matters that went nowhere.   Why should congress waste and time and our tax dollars on this non-controversy?  Does anyone really think congress will find an impeachable offense here?

Seems to me we have far more pressing matters to deal with and all this cr@p does is distract us from dealing with those matters.

"Top conservative activist"   :bigsilly:

Congress has nothing to do with any sexual allegations, except for their own.
If you haven't noticed the sexual allegation lotto is running amuck.  Everybody looking for the jackpot or 15 minutes of fame.

NOPE.

The precedent has now been set, with abundant help from the Republican Party and it's leadership and in concert with the Democrats, that the way to get rid of any candidate, sitting representative or elected official that is a risk to the machinations of the corruption wheel of the Oligarchy, is via allegations of sexual misconduct at any time of the person's life.  Unless of course one is a Liberal Democrat or Liberal Republican - which at this point is a gross misnomer, because it no longer matters what 'party' they belong to - but they get to skate if in office.  Even after they promise to resign sometime in the future.

So - I'm going to be amused to watch all this play out from this point forward.  Both parties and the majority of the public HATES and cannot STAND "holy rollers" or Christians who actually live their faith and abide by it running for office, so I guess hunting for pious Muslims or Hindus who are liberals in favor of big oppressive government will have to suffice for candidates running for office from this point forward.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

We have just had proof positive that people will see what they want to, read what they want to, and interpret the part they did read with an ability to spin things any way they want.

Burden of proof is on the accuser, and let them come forth with proof if they want to hang anyone--right after they make their sworn depositions.

The left has discovered gold when they brought out the "sexual misconduct outrage weapon". After all,how can ANYBODY prove they didn't do something decades ago?

I'm only wondering "Where was this tool when Bubba was President, and had the full weight of the DNC behind him?

Which is quite intentional and 'the point' or motivation behind the left and the establishment RINO elitists that thwart Trump's agenda.

The fallacy is that they should have to prove they DIDN"T. The presumption of innocence and burden of proof went out the window, both key to what once was known as the American Justice System.

Trial by Mob and Media is the 'in' thing, led by hyped up harpies in fits of pseudofeminist rage.

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
Old Bobby VP is a three time failed gubernatorial candidate here in Iowa. No respect for the guy. Hypocrite, opportunist, and a snake. He's kind of a Jimmy Swaggart in a slightly better suit.
