Just a little post script to this event yesterday...the police have been getting a lot of credit and thanks. However, there's a group of soldiers who responded and were omitted from media reports. These soldiers were also first on the scene, helped apprehend the suspect, and assisted in securing the area. It's a largely unknown mission, but these guys are out there every day - part of JTF-Empire Shield with the New York Army National Guard.
