WASHINGTON—The chairman of the Democratic Party’s House campaign committee is calling for the resignation of one of the party’s up-and-coming young stars after allegations of sexual harassment were leveled against the Nevada freshman congressman.
Rep. Ben Ray Luján of New Mexico, chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, called on Rep. Ruben Kihuen to resign from Congress on Friday evening after the website BuzzFeed reported that Mr. Kihuen inappropriately propositioned a female campaign aide.
