Clyburn calls for Conyers to resign: report
By Mallory Shelbourne - 11/30/17 12:11 PM EST

Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.) on Thursday called on Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) to resign in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations made against him, according to a reporter with Politico.

Clyburn's call for Conyers's resignation comes after House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday morning that Conyers should resign. Clyburn, the assistant Democratic leader, and Conyers are both members of the Congressional Black Caucus.

The Hill has reached out to Clyburn’s office for comment.

Trick question: Clyburn or Sheriff Bart?

Every member of the CBC needs to be asked if they agree with Clyburn. That's what would happen if a Republican uttered such an obtuse comment...could be considered racial, as well.

Ohhh...what changed?  Just yesterday he said Congress critters should have a different standard because they are elected. He is two faced to save his own neck. But he made other controversial comments too.

I would assume that Clyburn has a replacement with less baggage in mind.

Any replacement for Conyers from that district in Detroit is likely to be of the same political and minority persuasion. They all float the same boat. Although if he leaves early, it would be interesting to see who the Republican Governor Snyder appoints to the end of the term. Since he is term limited not much anyone can do to him.
