White House considering major push to back Roy Moore: report
By Brett Samuels - 11/29/17 09:27 AM EST

The White House is considering deploying resources to back embattled Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore (R) as the Senate campaign enters its final stretch, Politico reported Wednesday.

The White House has said President Trump has no plans to campaign for Moore prior to the Dec. 12 election, but it is weighing whether to use robo-calls, emails and text messages to encourage voters to support Moore, even as the candidate faces numerous allegations of sexual misconduct.

The super PAC America First Action, which supports the Trump agenda, is conducting polling in Alabama as the administration considers getting more involved, Politico reported.

Memo to Mr. Trump -

Help Judge Moore out now, and you'll have a reliable ally in the Senate for a few years to come...

Strange... Trump had his chance.

Roy does not need him.

Though President Trump has not formally endorsed Roy Moore, he makes an appearance in Moore's latest campaign ad released Wednesday.

The ad uses a brief video clip of Trump's Nov. 21 comments to reporters at the White House criticizing Moore's opponent, Democrat Doug Jones, in the Dec. 12 Alabama Senate special election.

The ad, titled "Contrast", touts Moore's positions on supporting a wall along the U.S.-Mexican border, Second Amendment rights, tax cuts and conservative judges. It also opens with a photo of Jones together with 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
