Pelosi says sex scandals are diversions from more important tax debate

Pelosi is correct.

TPTB know sex sells and so it leads the news headlines and can be used to cover up more important issues.

Pelosi needs to have this conversation with liberal leftist CNN who is broadcasting either Russia scandals or sex scandals 24/7 and hardly ever reports about the upcoming tax reform vote in any meaningful depth.

" House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Sunday chided NBC's Chuck Todd for not asking her about tax reform during his interview of her that focused mostly on sexual misconduct claims made against members of Congress.

Todd was set to close the interview, airing on "Meet the Press," without asking about the Republican tax reform plan, when Pelosi cut him off.

"You mean were not even going to talk about taxes?" Pelosi said. "You see, you have fallen into the place, where they [Republicans] are doing something that is going to increase the debt enormously, its going to be a job killer and it's going to raise taxes on the middle class and has a big impact on the individual lives of all Americans. And really we should be spending more time on that.'"

The scandals in congress involve 2 high-profile Democrats -- Conyers and Franken -- so those scandals are a distraction.  Now, if we were talking about high-ranking Republicans involved in these scandals, then it would be a big deal to the Democrats.
