‘Sanctuary’ jurisdictions may have to repay federal funds: Justice Dept.

By Andrea Noble - The Washington Times - Wednesday, November 15, 2017

The Justice Department warned 29 states, counties and cities Wednesday that they may be asked to pay back more than $17 million in federal grant money unless they’re able to prove their policies don’t violate federal immigration law.

It was the broadest warning yet to so-called sanctuary cities believed to be hampering cooperation between local authorities and federal deportation officers.

Among the jurisdictions put on notice were the states of Illinois, Vermont and Oregon and cities of Washington, D.C., Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

I don't think that's going to happen.

The best we can hope for (after the issue is adjudicated upward in the courts) is that "future funding" can be denied.

'Fraid you're right.

Most of these 'Up Your's, Rule of Law' Municipalities, and States, have already stacked up a big old pile of maxed out credit cards to run their boiler room op. Try to get a cent back from them and it'll be Republicans force Massive Budget Cuts in Essential Social Services, as the elites there threaten Police, Fire, Teachers, Hospitals, - hold them at gunpoint for the press, as it were.

If we demand they pay back what they took, Illegally, from everyone else, we'll be painted as shoving granny in her wheel chair off the cliff again.
My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.
