Of course the momentum continues to grow as the GOPe refuses to back him, help him, or resist the DEMS determination to make enough false accusations that they lose their majority in 2018 ... I never felt that there was a chance until now, but I believe that they will successfully impeach him.  Pence will be seated and they will go after him; they will not rest until 2020 comes around and a DEM is seated...then things will quiet down politically because the GOP will do absolutely nothing as usual.  Why vote?

A group of Democrats on Wednesday announced that they would be filing multiple articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, marking the most significant push to remove the president from office. The move was led by Representative Steve Cohen of Tennessee, who first declared his intention to initiate the impeachment process following Trump’s controversial “both sides” remarks in response to deadly violence at a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.........

Five articles of impeachment will be introduced, alleging obstruction of justice, violations of both the foreign and domestic emoluments clause, undermining the federal judiciary and undermining the freedom of the press..............

It might be interesting to let the dems have this vote. For the ones in contested districts it's pretty much a lose-lose proposition...

Getting a Democrat in that Alabama seat in the Senate ought to help bring a conviction should this bogus effort actually get that far.

Because it's the seriousness of the charge that matters, not proof or evidence.

House Dems introduce articles of impeachment against Trump

Six House Democrats on Wednesday launched the latest official effort to oust President Trump, introducing five new articles of impeachment revolving around the central theme that the president is a danger to the country.

“Given the magnitude of the constitutional crisis, there’s no reason for delay,” said Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.), the sponsor of the resolution.

Joining Cohen in endorsing the articles are Democratic Reps. Luis Gutiérrez (Ill.), Al Green (Texas), Marcia Fudge (Ohio), John Yarmuth (Ky.) and Adriano Espaillat (N.Y.).
