Kuwait orders its nationals to leave Lebanon immediately

RIYADH: Kuwait’s foreign ministry ordered its nationals to leave Lebanon immediately, according to a statement on Thursday carried by state news agency KUNA.

The decision came hours after Saudi Arabia warned its citizens against traveling to Lebanon and asked those in the country to leave as soon as possible.

A foreign ministry source, quoted by state news agency SPA, also called on Saudis not to travel to Lebanon.

My view, is Lebanon is not exactly a puppet of Iran but Iran and Hezbollah have a heavy influence on Lebanon and its government. A lot of Lebanese despise Hezbollah. Read Naharnet.com.

Israeli UN Ambassador Dan Gillerman tried to help them in 2006.  They could have helped Israel rid them of the Hezbollah scourge, but they sat on their hands.  Bad choice.

Granted, I don't know much about the animosity between SA and Iran
other than they embrace two different branches of Islam, Sunni and Shia.

But is it possible this might be a ruse... that a build up to war between
these two is a cover... and the real target for both is someone else ??

No, because for the time being, Iran is the bigger threat to Saudi Arabia.  Iran has a competitive amount of oil reserves, more than twice the population, a robust ballistic missile program, and heavy influence in nations that surround the Saudis (Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen.)

It is said, Saudi Arabia and Israel have had communications behind closed doors for some time.

Russia has also hosted Kim Jong-Un,  some people, not me, would call Russia an ally with North Korea, even possibly supplying them with dangerous technology.

True,  Putin has remained silent while Netanyahu bombed Syria repeatedly with impunity.

But still waters run deep.

Putin is not the type of leader who knee-jerks reacts.
