Most everyone has heard about the book of Daniel's famous "handwriting on the wall."
That was the same night of Cyrus' secret invasion of Babylon.
Daniel was in the palace where Babylon's king was having his drunken party.
Then an invisible hand wrote something mysterious on the palace wall.
" MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN "
Of all the wise men in Babylon, only Daniel could interpret the mystery.
" This is the interpretation of the message: 'MENE-- God has numbered your kingdom and put an end to it. 'TEKEL '-- you have been weighed on the scales and found deficient. 'PERES '-- your kingdom has been divided and given over to the Medes and Persians."
Daniel 5:25-28
According to ancient Greek historian Herodotus, Cyrus was half Persian and half Mede. He was the king who united the Aryan Medes and Aryan Persians into one empire.
