One Month Later, Las Vegas Massacre Is Still A Mystery
« on: November 01, 2017, 07:03:53 pm »
The shattered windows were boarded up weeks ago, and the crime scene across the street largely cleared of the shoes, bags and other personal effects left behind when thousands of concertgoers ran for their lives.

But one month after Stephen Paddock unleashed a hail of bullets onto the crowd at the Route 91 Harvest music festival from the windows of his 32nd-floor suite at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas — killing 58 people and injuring more than 540 in the worst mass shooting in the nation’s modern history — the investigation of the crime seems frozen in time.

After weeks of interviewing the lone gunman’s family and associates, and combing through his two homes and belongings for clues, police appear to be no closer to understanding why Paddock, a 64-year-old real estate investor and avid gambler with no record of mental illness, or political or religious extremism, became a mass killer. Or if they are, they aren’t saying.

I’m guessing you’ll see the sheriff put out to pasture when things wrap up.

Is it that they know but are not telling us?  Or, they're still pretty clueless about motivation and affiliation??

And that may be unfortunate because I believe it's the FBI which is mucking up the investigation,  but the sheriff will be blamed for whatever is wrong.

This story is down the memory hole. The FBI refuses to talk. This frustrates me to no end.

I understand the official word is that we will never know the motive.

Maybe in about 50 years -- long after I'm in the crypt -- documents will be released to tell the real story/

Interesting that they told us the motive may never be known before they even investigated.

The sheriff seemed like a cop telling what was believed at the time. Then the timeline of events changed which is probably normal as more info is had. Then it seemed the FBI had the sheriff on a string. Now there are nothing but question marks.

This is the latest I see on Campos and it doesn't say anything: http://www.newsweek.com/las-vegas-guard-jesus-campos-back-work-mandalay-bay-hotel-698163

I'm trying to imagine what the families of the victims are going through with this non-investigation investigation.

I'd be furious if my loved one was brutally murdered and no one was trying to find out why..........
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

"Sometimes I think the Church would be better off if we would call a moratorium on activity for about six weeks and just wait on God to see what He is waiting to do for us. That's what they did before Pentecost."   - A. W. Tozer

Use the time God is giving us to seek His will and feel His presence.

Occam's Razor:
There's no "there" there.

The guy went fully evil, planned carefully, but told no one and left next-to-no evidence behind, not even a note to say goodbye.

Pure nihilism, committed by an indecipherable cipher...
