Senators reach tentative deal on ObamaCare insurer payments
By Peter Sullivan - 10/17/17 02:09 PM EDT

Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) said Tuesday that he and Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) have reached a bipartisan deal that would extend payments to insurers under ObamaCare that President Trump said he was ending last week.

The two senators are chairman and ranking member, respectively, of the Senate Health Committee.

The deal would extend the payments to insurers for two years and give states more flexibility to change ObamaCare rules. The negotiations had been aimed at stabilizing insurance markets.

Hopefully the house will tell them to go to hell when and if it gets to them!

Dollars to donuts, I'll bet this "deal" leaves the individual mandate intact and is thus worthless.

Oh goody!  Republicans rising up to save Obamacare!  Snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

Now let us see if President Trump leverages this into "Mandate" elimination, buying across State lines and buying any policy one wants....without mandated coverage.

It is fine if he does not get that...then democrats do not get the illegal obama subsidies for their insurance companies.

But IF President Trump signs a "clean" subsidy bill...he will lose my vote forever...and become known as President Schmuck.

Who made these two ineffectual losers President? They can come to all the deals they want, but at the end of the day Obamacare is finished as it stand today. This nonsense isn't worth even thinking about.

Lamar Alexander and Patty Murray?

Egads. Yikes.

Trump should tweet "NO DEAL!" on this one.

Patty Murray has the intellectual capacity of a cinder block.
