In other words, Luke’s father is being asked to enroll his son in a group specifically limited to boys, but one that does not recognize the nature of boyhood and its progress to manhood. Thus there is no real justification for the group; that its membership is male is accidental and not of the essence. He and they do not see the same being in Luke. He sees his boy, and the man-to-be; they see a neuter. He sees a father-in-training; they see an immature human thing, a bundle of appetites that are not in themselves subject to moral judgment.  ...

Agreed. The kind of people, parents and families who think this is a good thing, probably think Bruce Jenner can become a female, and approve of same.

It is claimed this BSA change resulted from some kind of a questionnaire. Hopefully parents and boys themselves, will exit this now phony childrens' club.

So what happens to the Girl Scouts?

This is idiotic on so many levels.

The Girl "Scouts" have long stopped representing girls.  They are rife with lesbians and push the LGBT / pro-abortion mantra.  My daughter left several years ago when their gold award was given to a girl for her brave stand or presenting an LGBT positive presentation to the local city counsel.  My daughter's plan to repair horse corrals at a Girl Scout camp was rejected as it didn't meet the "social" criteria.  So they stopped training "scouts".  The older teens are not allowed to carry pocket knives, learn fire starting, are barely allowed to camp, or any other Independence oriented skill set like hunting - GUNS! oh no!  And Christians are right out.

Honest branding would rename them the Lesbian SJW corps.  Heck, they are now allowing trans-boys in.

This ship sailed last January when the Boy Scouts announced they would accept girls living as boys.

I think the only think left that is sacred, at least to American Boy Scouts is acknowledgment of a Creator and Higher Power. That's the next thing that the left will go after.
