Las Vegas gunman wired $100,000 to girlfriend's home country: report
By Avery Anapol - 10/03/17 12:54 PM EDT

Suspected Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock wired $100,000 to the Philippines last week, days before committing what's become the deadliest mass shooting in modern United States history, NBC News reported Tuesday.

Marilou Danley, Paddock’s girlfriend, is from the Philippines and was visiting the country on Sunday when the shooting took place. She is scheduled to return to the U.S. on Wednesday, according to officials.

Law enforcement officials originally considered Danley a person of interest in the investigation, but now say they believe she was not involved. The couple lived together in Mesquite, Nev., a city about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas.

I wonder if he knew this was a one way ticket for him and he was sending her away on purpose?

I wonder if they purchased a home together and the $100K was her share of the equity for the sale.   ^-^

Of course he knew that he wouldn't be walking out of that hotel room. Who could believe otherwise?

Not sure whether the woman "left on her own", or was "sent off" by him. Only she can provide the answer to that.

But I have a feeling she's making a one-way trip to the Philippines and not coming back...

Too bad they can't confiscate that money and give it, instead, to the families of the victims.  I sure as hell would.

I thought there was another thread on this woman. I thought I'd add in conjecture that maybe she went through the airport being pushed in a wheelchair for security reasons or it's well possible the whole situation is just overwhelming to her.

I think that's the most likely explanation.

The answer she's given, as I recall it, was that he sent her off and then wired her the money and told her it was for getting a place over there.  But that she was worried that he was going to dump her.

I hear that.  Anytime a women gives me a 100 grand I know I'm about to get dumped.

It's to cover her legal bills. Even if she's not complicit, she will end up needing an attorney.

@Fishrrman

Of course, she's back in the US (voluntarily) and talking to the FBI.
