Kamala Harris Refuses to Say Whether Felony Conviction Should Disqualify a Senator From Serving
Posted By Paul Crookston On September 11, 2017 @ 1:21 pm In Politics | No Comments

Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.) on Friday joined many of her Democratic Senate colleagues in refusing to say whether Sen. Bob Menendez (D., N.J.) should continue serving if he is convicted on corruption charges.

A Republican tracker asked Harris if convicted felons should be able to serve in the Senate while she was in Ohio this past weekend, and the senator stayed silent. Harris, who some consider a possible 2020 presidential candidate, had a slate of fundraisers with Sen. Sherrod Brown (D., Ohio), and she kept quiet about Menendez as she entered and exited those events.

And what could Kamala possibly say in answer to the question?  It's not like she could speak the truth.... that it would depend upon whether or not the felon had a "D" or an "R" beside their name, natch.

If a federal judge who is impeached and removed, one of only a few in the history of the United States, can serve as a Democrat Congressman, then felons certainly should be eligible for that party's representatives.

Considering what Harris has already done as the SF DA and Ca. State AG, I'm thinking she's looking down the road at her own future prospects.
My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.
