Texas family finds gator in dining room after hurricane
By Sinclair Broadcast Group

A Humble, Texas homeowner returning to his home after Hurricane Harvey was shocked to discover a scaly squatter had taken up residence while they were away, according to our local affiliate WJLA. Brian Foster found a 9-foot alligator in his dining room Friday morning and promptly called authorities.

As much I would like to move to Texas, I think I'll avoid Houston.

Alligator hides are a booming business in Louisiana and Texas. In fact, demand is so high that alligator farms are popping up all over the place. It has gotten to the point where there is a glut of hides, which drives the price down.

But yeah, America harvests thousands of alligators every year for hide and meat.

Odd.  From the looks of the video, it appears that they carried the gator through the dining room from outside...through double doors.  Wonder why the article said the gator was IN the dining room.  Hmmm....

That's good to here. I may have to order me some new boots with a matching handbag.
