WATCH: First Video Shows Extensive Damage To USS John McCain After Collusion With Tanker
Gateway Pundit, Aug 21, 2017

10 U.S. sailors are still missing after the USS John McCain collided with a commercial tanker off the coast of Singapore on Sunday. The first set of videos and photos show extensive damage to the destroyer.

DVID reports on the damage sustained by the Navy vessel:

“Damage to the portside is visible as the Guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG 56) steers towards Changi Naval Base, Republic of Singapore, following a collision with the merchant vessel Alnic MC while underway east of the Straits of Malacca and Singapore on Aug. 21. Significant damage to the hull resulted in flooding to nearby compartments, including crew berthing, machinery, and communications rooms. Damage control efforts by the crew halted further flooding. The incident will be investigated.

That's too bad...................and Bannon reporting that Trump had not been briefed on the ship disaster.

It looks like it was more formed by an explosion than a collision. Or it could be a result of impact with the tanker's bulbous bow.

I'm guessing the red paint is a clue...lol.  How does a ship with the most advanced navigating system in the world hit another FRIGGEN ship?  Makes me want a driverless car...NOT!

Click the picture to zoom in.  The deep indentation matches well with a bulb nose design of another ship.



Note the lack of burn marks as was with the USS Cole:
