Rabbi who converted Ivanka Trump to Judaism denounces President Trump’s ‘equivocation’ over Neo-Nazi and KKK violence in Charlottesville

The rabbi who oversaw Ivanka Trump‘s conversion to Judaism has condemned her father President Donald Trump‘s statements about Charlottesville.

On Tuesday, Rabbi Emeritus Haskel Lookstein released a statement to the congregation of Ivanka and husband Jared Kushner‘s synagogue, Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun in Manhattan.

“We are appalled by this resurgence of bigotry and antisemitism, and the renewed vigor of the neo-Nazis, KKK, and alt-right,” Lookstein wrote, along with his successors Rabbi Chaim Steinmetz and Rabbi Elie Weinstock, in a letter shared on the congregation’s Facebook page.

One can not sugar coat anything but I will say this, disruptions and demonstrations and acts against Trump supporters by radical leftists probably goes back to the campaign.

Make no mistake.   People are under a lot of pressure to publicly condemn Trump, even against their will.
