President Trump’s announcement via Twitter last week that he would discontinue administrative directives ordering the armed forces to accommodate transgender men and women in the military has met with an all-too-predictable response. Democrats are apoplectic, engaging in a mix of virtue signaling and flag waving. Thus my congressman, U.S. Rep. David N. Cicilline (D-R.I.), a co-chairman of the LGBT Equality Caucus, huffed: “The President’s action today is despicable . . . There are thousands of transgender people serving in the Armed Forces. They are heroes. They deserve our thanks.”

Many Republicans objected as well. U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said in a prepared statement, “there is no reason to force service members who are able to fight, train, and deploy to leave the military—regardless of their gender identity.”

Damnit! There is no such thing as a transgendered person!
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

I agree from an older thread

There is no such thing as a trans gender person. You are either male or female XX chromosome or XY. Someone that wishes they were of a different sex to the extent that they mutilate their body has serious mental issues and should not be in law enforcement or the military.

If there are transgendered people, then there are transracial people. 50 years of Affirmative Action just went down the drain.
Not enough African Americans in academia? Just have some white people change their race.
Not enough women in STEM careers? You can fix that by close of business today.

"What Would a Fair Transgender Policy in the Military Look Like?"

It would look like nothing at all.
Transgenders don't belong in the military.
For that matter, nor do homosexuals.

The military isn't about "fairness".
It's about a unified, disciplined force capable of winning wars.

"What Would a Fair Transgender Policy in the Military Look Like?"

It would look like nothing at all.
Transgenders don't belong in the military.
For that matter, nor do homosexuals.

The military has always had its share of homos, drunks and just about anything else. Despite regulations, prostitution flourishes around military bases. Infidelity is rife.

That is true.
