Mitch McConnell, in public, says he wants to pass a health care reform plan that repeals ObamaCare. Remember, McConnell says he wants to scrap ObamaCare “root and branch.”

But behind the scenes, McConnell has been working over liberal senators to assure them his plan will not actually scrap the Medicaid expansion and that he will undermine Senator Ted Cruz’s amendment to provide individual freedom in health care choices.

McConnell, again and again, stacks the deck against conservatives, setting them up to be the fall guy for his own failures.

The president’s various nominees are on the slow walk through McConnell’s Senate, where the filibuster no longer applies.

ObamaCare repeal is just about dead, even though it cannot be filibustered either.

Tax reform is dead on arrival.

The entirety of the GOP agenda is stuck in the Senate where Mitch McConnell seems intent to let it all die on the vine while blaming conservatives.

It is time for the Senate GOP to replace Mitch McConnell so that President Trump can actually get some of his legislative policies advanced. It is not conservatives who are the obstacle, but the Senate leader himself.

Matt Bevin would have been a much better choice.

He would have been.  But McConnell's machine with a little help from the Democrats smeared and attacked him daily in a viciousness YOU NEVER heard McConnell lay on Democrats.  Not even Lundergan Grimes in the General.

But Bevin is now Governor, despite all the efforts to derail that candidacy also.

More brilliance from Erick Erickson. What does he want Trump to do? Fire the Turtle? He can't. Mitch is what he always has been. A backstabbing slug and the only people to blame for it is the voters of KY.

McConnell did the same kind of smear job on Thad Cochran's opponent in that same election.

Personally, I would like to see McConnell sent packing off of the sheer fact he let the U.S. Army Armor School and Basic Training get shipped out of Ft. Knox.

How in the Hell does the most powerful guy in the Senate let something like that happen? You can't tell me that he couldn't have done something to have stopped the Armor School's move to Ft. Benning.

And from what I can tell after living here for almost a year...outside of Liberal enclaves like Louisville...he's doing a fine job as Governor.

This week: Trump, act as a dictator.

Next week: Dammit Trump, we didn't elect a dictator.

Actually McConnell went full Liberal on his Conservative and TEA Party supported primary opponent Matt Bevin and used his Senate Re-election slush fund to bury Bevin.

That left Kentucky with two choices...vote for Turtle or vote for the complete whack job Liberal Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes.

The majority of voters went with the (marginally) lesser of two evils.

What does he want Trump to do?

How about Trump tweet his ass off and shame these moron Republicans refusing to support what their party campaigned they would do for 7 years?

That would be a start.

He could threaten to support whomever decides to step up and primary McConnell next time...whether it' Bevin again or another Conservative.

That might get ol' Mitch's attention.

Let's see...

1) Trump doesn't have an agenda - he's a political windsock
2) Trump lacks the leadership skills to set an agenda, especially one real conservatives would actually applaud, like Cruz
3) Even if Trump had #1 and #2 in the bag, he'd scuttle his own agenda by being reality-star, part time wrestling personality outrageous

'Nuff said.
How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.
4. When all else fails, remember rule #1 and #2. Emoticons are like the poor man's tweet!

No.

He's proven that.

He is the guy who told us Tea Party Conservatives we needed to be 'punched in the nose' and made to shut up or get out.

Right. Like Congress telling us they were going to repeal for 7 years and voted to do it under Obama now not being able to do jack shit isn't why nothing is getting done. It's all Trumps fault all the time. No need to bring up people like Rob Portman who voted to repeal a couple years ago now saying he won't vote for repeal.

No, @Frank Cannon  - that was all kabuki theater. We know that or they would have just sent the same exact bill they sent to Obama on week one of Trump's presidency.

BUT...

Understanding that the legislature ISN'T going to come together and actually pass something means we need a LEADER who will propose and unite the party behind the core concepts he wants passed, opposition party be damned.

Reminder: the ACA was passed without a single Republican vote. Like it or not, Obama provided MORE leadership in getting that crap sandwich passed than Trump has even attempted when it comes to "repeal and replace."

One of the 11 principles of leadership the military teaches is:

Understand the task is understood, supervised, and accomplished.

Trump is doing NONE of that.

How exactly do you lead self dealing pieces of shit like Portman, Collins or the Turtle? Congress has learned they don't have to do anything now. They just let the President use EO's and other orders and they can keep their hands clean because all any of them care about is reelection, especially on the GOP side. Think any of them would listen to Cruz if he were President? Not a chance in hell.

Government is way past broken and not one thing any current or future President wants to do will be done through congress. It will all be EO's and Supreme Court rulings from here on out. Bank on it.
