The Secret Service stopped an armed man who tried to enter Trump Tower on Thursday to see first daughter Ivanka Trump.
Agents stopped the man when they noticed he was wearing a bulletproof vest, police told the New York Daily News.
Adames Benitez, 52, told Secret Service he was a U.S. senator and needed to speak to Trump about her clothing line. Police said Benitez claimed he owned the building.
Secret Service found two throwing knives, a weighted sock and fake New York state I.D. card on Benitez. He was charged with weapons possession and having a fake I.D.
Trump is in Germany with her father for the G-20 summit.
