The ad is wonderful, but it greatly understates the casualties.  It is listing only the deaths, not the wounded and captured.  The Americans actually took more than 1,100 casualties.

BTW, "Cliveden" was the house of Chief Justice Benjamin Chew.  The Chew House was a thorn in the side of the Americans during the battle.  The assault on the stone house was very costly.  The reference to not being shown mercy has to do with an officer carrying the flag of truce to Clivenden being mortally wounded.
