Which is why people in this country are no longer interested in having a statesman for President.
They want a narcissistic dictator to attack and punish their perceived domestic enemies for them at each and every opportunity that can be had.
Because... payback.  This is usually a sign that a Republic is no longer functioning but has already warped itself into a mobocracy under some kind of personality to act as Dear Leader.
Blood flows swiftly and without mercy in such environments and often the original agitators become its eventual victims. And no one is spared.  But if that's what this people want - which apparently seems to be the case for both the Marxist Left and the Populists - they shall have it.

I appreciate the advice, but unlike our resident Leftist - I fight my own battles without the need to go crying for help. 

Especially against internet trolls and bullies.

The mods have enough to do without having to read every single stupid and imbecilic squabble that gets stirred up on myriad threads.

Sometimes the community itself can have a more decisive impact on the aforementioned than a couple of mods who will be pilloried for policing 'unfairly'.

It is what Leftists do in their continuous efforts to criminalize and list as a threat, anyone espousing the liberties they want abolished or regulated and with whom they disagree.

The media does it with their selective editing to push the pro-Marxist anti-Conservative narratives and the leftist operatives in the forum sphere and social media do it in an attempt to shame any opposition into silence or get us off-message to defend boldfaced lies used to portray us as an existential threat.
