Tillerson blows up at top White House aide

All of Trump's appointments have been conservatives and it is beginning to pay off.  An example is the new EPA head just repealed a ridiculous 'water' law that could be used against farmers and landowners.  And, by the way, when this was mentioned on a thread yesterday, guess what the first thing one of those brilliant Trump haters posted?

The answer is:  Something stupid about water traps on golf courses.

This regulation has actually hurt people ... it's a very good thing it was repealed and all he could think about was making a snide comment about golf courses.

Not quite all. Flynn was a registered Democrat and look how well that turned out:(  Jared Kushner was a registered Dem until Trump's campaign. His wife Ivanka does not claim a political affiliation but she has bundled and raised money for Democrats in the past including Hillary Clinton. She is liberal. Both were appointed to WH positions by President Trump. Trump's Trade Advisor, Peter Navarro,  is a liberal Democrat who ran for office as a Democrat and independent. Omarosa Manigault, Trump's Communication Director to the Office of Public Liaison has identified herself as a Democrat and worked for a short time for Al Gore during the Clinton Administration. Gary Cohn, Director of The National Economic Council is a Democrat.Kevin Hassett, who is a nominee for Chair for the Council of Economic Advisors is pro-immigration which is not a conservative pov. I do not know what political party he affiliates himself with.

While many of the appointees identify with the Rep. party as we know, not all Reps are Conservatives.

Actually, it's the REPUBLICAN LEFT that has destroyed the meaning of Conservative, not the Democrats. Meanwhile Trump and his supporters are continuing to redefine Conservatism into Populist Socialism or whatever it is that excuses the statements and actions of their president.

Very true.  You are not.  But putting people on ignore is cowardly ... especially someone like DCPatriot.  I only have one person on ignore and that's because he,she or it used foul language and made abusive comments to me.

I don't agree, @Emjay.  I don't have anyone on ignore, but some people post stuff that just isn't worth reading.  Not many, but a few.  And, you might miss the good posts because you're busy reading the drek.

It's just a matter of taste.  At one time I had a lot of annoying people on ignore but now I just skim past long posts from people I know post dreck.

IMO, this would be a perfect time for POTUS to tweet to everyone, that his wife Kathleen, was a local anchorette on one of the Washington, DC network affiliates.   (I remember her when she started out doing the live shots in raincoats umbrellas standing at a deadlocked overpass...at 4:20am!!)   That she recently ran for Congress and lost, despite her regional celebrity.   As a Democrat, of course.

My Bob retired as an earth scientist/geologist with Mobil/Exxon.  He knew Tillerson.  Trump told Tillerson he could pick his own staff at the state department.  Now, Trump's personnel guy and Kushner have dumped the people he wanted and Kushner is making the decisions about foreign policy himself without any input from Tillerson.  Very likely, Tillerson will leave as he won't stay in a figurehead position that does nothing and means nothing.

There are two people who want to head every department and those are Trump and Kushner. They want to run the CIA/FBI/NSA,SOS/Supreme Court/News Media themselves.  If they could, they would shut down both houses of  government.  At some point in the future, people will figure this out.

Well, Flynn is gone but not sure he is guilty.  Jared and Ivanka were not appointed to anything although I agree they have too much influence in the White House.

The others you named I've never even heard of.  I'm just talking about heads of departments which mean something.  Secretary of Education was an excellent choice as was the head of the EPA who is on pace to get rid of his own job and I hope he succeeds.

If that is true, it simply once again justifies the warnings Conservatives gave about the risk of dictatorship via the executive to those lauding that Trump is a businessman and not a politician.  Every CEO of his own business is a dictator/monarch unless he is owned by stockholders.  Trump's empire was not a resume enhancer due the fact a Presidency is not the same thing as a CEO - which we rightly assumed Trump would not see a difference in.

It may yet come to pass that the comparisons of Trump to Italy in the 1920s had merit.

Ivanka was  a registered democrat.  She complained that the rules were too complicated and that is why she didn't get to change to republican and could not vote in the NY primary.
