A quick look at Mr Hodgkinson's Facebook page kinda clears up the question of whether this shooting was politically motivated.

The shooter at the GOP congressional baseball practice this morning is James T. Hodgkinson of Belleville, Ill., according to law enforcement officials. Hodgkinson, 66, owns a home inspection business. His home inspection license expired in November 2016 and was not renewed, state records show.

No matter the motive, we probably won't get to hear it. The MSM will revert to narratives about guns. This will be a "Ha ha ha. You got what you deserved for opposing gun control" moment for them.

The motive of the gunman is just an inconvenient optic.

Also nowadays people can make a gun out of anything.   Just yesterday I watched a video in which a man took a bolt and made it into a pistol,  complete with rifling in the barrel,   and he used no fancy tools.

Considering what political advantage the democrats made with the Giffords shooting, even thought there was absolutely no link to republicans and conservatives, can you imagine what they could do to Sanders and the socialist cause with this one if they applied the same standard?

We are,and the Dims are now desperate. They thought they had a lock on the police state of their dreams,and then their Goddess was beaten by a loon with bad hair that had never even ran for dogcatcher before. This made them lose what little minds they had left.

I am thinking this might not work out as well for them as they believe it will. Look for LOTS of prominent lefties to be climbing aboard private jets and personal yachts and taking off for safer climes soon.

Do not underestimate them.   They control the tech companies,  and they can now build drones that can wipe out armies in the field at very low cost.

I am almost positive we are going to be hearing soon that either the shooter or one of his family members are sick or in rehab,and he lost control when the evil Republicans took away their Obomber Care.

I have to say - please pardon me - that that's a little relief politically speaking.  Now it seems we can definitely hang this on the liberals/democrats and their rhetoric

9 times out of 10 they're nutcases driven by outside rhetoric and have no real political opinions of their own. They tend to latch on to something in the final weeks or months before they act as if some great secret had been revealed to them.

The volume of threats s one of the reasons my job includes waking Drs, Nurses, Techs, and receptionists to their cars. Just yesterday the daytime porter warned me to keep an eye out for some clown they arrested in the lobby. He was apparently standing in the lobby yelling about Obamacare funding terrorism by way of all these "A-Rab" doctors. (who are mostly Indian) He's likely been turned loose by this morning. Before I hired in they had a guy rooting through the trash looking for aborted babies. The closest thing they do to abortion is chemotherapy and physical therapy. The rest of the building is dedicated to medical scanning like MRIs, CT scans, X rays, and ultrasound.
