That's another issue. If you know your family and community is starving because it's SHTF time, how motivated are you going to be to deal with other who are just trying to survive themselves?

Not even that. Most are honor bound... Most know they do not belong on our shores fighting salt of the earth Americans... By and large, most are redneck, and sure as heck know better... No Tennessee boy or son of Texas will be too excited about kicking down doors in Montana, where the folks are just like his own.

I work in a hospital (A specialist building for MRIs, CT Scans, X-Ray etc) and we have to carry a panic button due to the fact that we have total access to the whole building and there are only a handful of us in an open building at night. There aren't any drugs to speak of in the building but there are a lot of salable items like computers not to mention potential drug paraphernalia.

Just tonight the security guard warned us all against going outside alone because our key cards make us targets of the meth heads. Apparently they've figured out that some type of coolant used in the CT scanner can be used to make meth. (along with any number of other chemicals)

They can't clean out Afghanistan, and that with no trees and no water, and no cloud cover for 8 months out of the year... And a whole helluva lot less wilderness.

And your vaunted military will get mighty scarce once all the redneck boys pick up and go home.

We have rules of engagement in Afghanistan, Geneva Convention and worry about hitting kids and civilians and have to watch for other groups over their politically. We have never gone WWII on them. If we did they would all have been dead on one week or less.

In a CWII there will be non of the above-it will be brutal. It will look just like Syria but worse. Chemical weapons, mass extertiminations etc  the whole works. No one will have honor like CWI.

That's because they don't kill indiscriminately.    Kill anything that moves,  and it gets a lot easier to clean out an area.

But then there are conservatives who are a bit on the mean side. Born provoked, even.
I believe God Almighty created us that way. And I am confident the Founders were thankful to have
such men at their disposal when it came time to take on King George III.

More accurately,   genetically predisposed to warfare and fighting but who  have tamed their more violent tendencies because their ancestors adopted Christianity.

My bil is retired from military after 35+ years and works for a major defense contractor. Would never tell me what is in the works of course but he did say robots would take over fighting one day as you said. Unmanned planes, unmanned tanks, robotic howitzers that move on their own etc.

I concur. I have long suspected that North Korea is nothing but a sock puppet for the Chinese.

If you study the history of our Plains Indian Wars, neither side observed the Geneva Rules.
